Also, AP maxes at twice SP, except for the head which had a set maximum of AP. It has been many years since I designed a Mech, but I think it was 16 AP per ton. Rules are already there for infantry SRM, Rifle and MG damage values and ranges. Speed mode is about equal to jump infantry, battle armor just has fewer units and are a little more durable.
